PERFECT TENSE

Present Perfect Tense is used for describing a past action’s effect on the present: He has arrived. Now he is here. This holds true for events that have just been secluded as well as for events that have not yet occurred.
Rumusnya Present Perfect Tense:
(+) Subject + have/has + V3
(-) Subject + have/sas Not + V3
(?) Have/has + subject + V3

Example:
(+) She has gone (Dia baru saja pergi)
(-) She has not gone
(?) Has She gone?

Past Perfect Tense is a kind of tense that is used to describe an action or an event that started in a certain time in the past and completed or finished till certain time in the past too; or past perfect tense is used to express an action or an event that had happened before the other event or action happened.
Rumusnya Past Perfect Tense:
(+) Subject + had+verb III+cmplement
(-) Subject + had not+ver III+complement
(?) Had + subject +verb III+complement


Example :
(+) We had eaten before they came
(-) They had not eaten before we came
(?) Had they eaten before we came?

SYMPATHY EXPRESSION


Sympathy expression is an expression or feeling of pity and sorrow when we know and see someone or people are unlucky or have trouble and in bad condition. By expressing sympathy we want to show our concern or carefulness on other people’s condition.
How can we give sympathy expression to someone?
We express it directly to him/her orally or we can use a letter or card by post also by short message service (SMS), e-mail, television, radio, and newspaper if he/she who got the trouble is far from us.

Several expressions of sympathy :
  • I’d like to express my deepest condolences
  • I’m sorry to hear that
  • I’m awfully sorry about…
  • Oh, how awful!
  • Oh, dear!
  • You must be very upset
  • Oh, what a shame
  •  How pity you are!
  • How terrible / awful for you


Example of dialogue that expresses sympathy in a certain situation :
Dwi  : Hey ! What’s wrong with you ?
Udin : My homework is lost. I forget to put in my bag.
Dwi   : I’m sorry to hear that

APPOINTMENT


Appointment is a kind of expression which is used to conduct an appointment.

Kind of appointment expression are :

1. Making an appointment.
·   I’d like to make an appointment with……….
·   I want to make an appointment to see…………..
·   I’d like you to come and see me.
·   Can we meet at………..
·   Can I come and see you?

2. Accepting an appointment.
·   All right, see you there.
·   I’ll be there.
·   Be there on time.
·   OK, wait a minute.
·   Yes, I’ll come.
·   I’ll wait for you there.
·   No problem, I’m free on.
·   It’s a deal.
·   Surely.

3. Cancelling an appointment.
·   I’m sorry, I can’t.
·   I’m sorry, I’m very busy.
·   I’m terrible sorry, I have to put of my appointment.
·   I’m sorry, I can’t come to meet you, because I must to do something.

4. Changing an appointment.
·  What about…………….?
·   Is that OK if we meet at 10.00am tomorrow.
·   Do you have another time this afternoon?
·   Could we change the day (time) of the meeting?

VOCABS : SHAPES, PARTS OF BODY
